The bike Litespeed has been waiting to create for over 21 years, a bike possessing technologies born from relationships with NASA, pro cyclists, and the most discriminating enthusiasts. We have developed and brought together a series of tubes never before seen in a titanium bike. A refined, new titanium development designed to offer a balance of strength, durability, handling, acceleration and performance never seen before in a Titanium or Litespeed product.
Head Tube machined from 3AL-2.5 V double butted and jouined at top tube junction with new proprietary "Wrap" technology, provides head tube stiffness never before experienced with titanium.
Top tube is 6AL-4V custom mold formed and wrapped using radial break sheet forming.
Down Tube is machined, bi axial ovalized, custom butted and wrapped with G.E.T. shape.
3Al-2.5V seat tube is machined, ovalized, custom butted and wraps the bottom bracket(beneath the surface of the down tube) through offset mitering. This Provides added weld surface area, incredible drive train stiffness, power transfer and is compatible with all 35mm front derailleurs.
Chain-Stays 3Al-2.5V are tapered, machined, bent, ovalized and taper butted. Asymmetric Bi-Planar chain-stays incorporate specific tube forming for the unique loads encountered by each stay. BB/CS junction is a multi cross section V-bend fabrication. Provides a wealth of tire and heel clearance while maintaining excellent component compatibility. Drive-train efficiency is beyond reproach. The most contemporary component compatibility with a unique look and performance.
3Al-2.5V Seat Stays are Geometrically Enhanced Tubing (G.E.T.,) machined, ovalized and double butted. The wide, oval cross sectioned seat stays provide wonderful vertical compliance while better resisting lateral loads yielding an enhanced drive-train efficiency. Stiffness is improved by positioning the seat stays higher on the seat tube.
Other features include micro sized dropouts with titanium, replaceable derailleur hanger.
