For anyone who lives for weekend crit racing or fancies dropping their buddies on the sprint to the town limits sign, the RB1K The One Disc will make you feel like a beast, making the most of every pedal stroke. That’s because it is not only neatly aero but insanely stiff. It’s a bike for big legs and big watts. Thanks to the true monocoque construction (TCM Technology) the engineers and carbon specialists can make an entire frame in one piece – not the usual bonded two-triangle design that most “monocoque” frames use – removing potential weak points caused by joints and bonding.

Previously available only with rim brakes, the addition of this disc brake version means that you can fit up to 29mm tires in the frame to improve the rolling resistance and ride quality. They have used the same High Modulus carbon fiber and strength-oriented layup. The rear triangle has received special attention with increased structural rigidity to slam that power straight through the pedals.

As with the rim brake version, the front end is super stiff as well – which is one reason you may like to have that slightly wider rubber rolling underneath you to absorb the road chatter.
