They have widened the rim with a 27mm inner width and 31mm outer width, which is not as big as it gets, but it’s big enough to work with more modern set ups without adding tons of weight. Industry 9 suggests sticking with between 2.2” and 2.5” tires, which can certainly handle the majority of trail and enduro situations.

The I9 hubs will be where these wheels really stand out, and not just because they have a customizable color option for the hubs and alu spokes. With the 6 pawl, 3-degree engagement of the rear hub, you’ll feel instantaneous reaction to your pedaling, which will help keep you moving out of steep, tight corners without fear of having to dab or even stop all together.
The Industry 9 Trail 270 32H 27.5" tip the scales at 1560g for the pair, which is pretty good in anyone’s book, especially for aluminum wheels. They do come with a recommended rider weight limit of 230lbs (105kg). These wheels are also fantastically compatible with just about any set-up you want to run: quick release, 15mm, 12x142, 9mm through, as well as 12x148mm Boost and even 12x157mm Super Boost. And as with all I9 System Wheels, these are highly customizable. For an additional fee, there are 11 custom anodized colors for your hubs and spokes.
