If someone pressed us to name a bike that we’ve had the most fun on, certainly very high on our list would be the Ibis Ripley AF UDH 29-inch mountain bike. This well priced, aluminum short travel mountain bike rides downhill like an enduro racer and uphill like an XC hardtail.

Focusing on versatility, durability and accessibility, the moderately priced aluminum version of the Ripley applies its modern, progressive geometry to ensure you feel stable and confident when descending and secure enough to find the fastest lines. The 120mm rear travel paired with 130mm up front ensures you can crush all-day epics in the saddle knowing your machine can give you the traction you need to be in control. The Dave Weagle on the dw-link suspension platform guarantees climbing efficiency and descending capability well beyond what you’d typically expect from 120mm of travel.

The geometry and frame design makes room for up to 2.6-inch tires, another boon to your grippy needs. Overall, the geometry is sweet-spot progressive with a steep 76° seat tube angle and trail friendly 65.5° head tube angle. The combo will effectively make you feel like you are really settled in the bike and not just on top of it, enhancing the pedaling efficiency to make the best use of those dw-link kinematics.
